Who are Atholl Glens | Why we were established | Where we are located | Accreditation | Links

We want our customers to be completely assured of the quality and safety of our supply and the care of our countryside. We have therefore subjected our operations to external scrutiny and audit.
The following accreditation covers all our land and our products from the field to the plate:
SOPA are the main regulatory body in Scotland for providing official organic accreditation. Producers are subject to annual audits by Scottish Food Quality Certification Ltd ( SFQC ) who are contracted by SOPA to field check their members. Annual audits cover the full farming operation such as animal welfare, habitat management, feed regimes and the application of organic farming regulations.
The scheme is run by Quality Meat Scotland and administered through SFQC. Producers are bound to adhere to best practice relative to the management of their farms, the control of pollution and care of their stock. The Scotch Beef and Scotch Lamb rosettes are an easily recognisable mark of premium Scottish produce.
The PGI is a European Union standard, designed to promote food products from proven specific regions and protect them from competitors making false claims about the origins of their produce and misleading customers. To be awarded the PGI star, the geographical link must occur in at least one stage of production, processing and preparation. Here at Atholl Glens we keep that link at all stages, producing, preparing, packaging and distributing our beef and lamb here in the Highlands.
